A fan of any and all things retro, Monique credits her grandmother for turning her onto classic pin-ups and igniting her modeling career. “She posed when she was young,” explains Monique. “When I was 14, I found all of her pictures under the bed and fell in love with the whole idea of pin-up art. After that day I was hooked. I must have drove her crazy going through all of her old records and trunks of clothes. I wish I could have been around back then.” Nah…We’re pretty happy with Monique being herself right now.

28-year-old Lauralai works as a receptionist in a small stove shop in Washington State. Her passions in life include her two beautiful children, photography (mostly black & white), and dancing. Says Lauralai, “I love vintage clothing, furniture, and pretty much anything retro from the 1930s and ’40s. I do sometimes feel like I was born in the wrong era. My boss restores antique trucks and cars. His recent one was a 1931 speedster wrecker. He calls her Black Betty and he had me pose on her for pictures to send to a hotrod magazine.” She snuck one our way, too, for which we are very grateful.

This multitalented French beauty bills herself as an art student, singer (including opera, pop and jazz), dancer (from flamenco and salsa to tap, swing, and tango), writer, and of course, a classic pin-up model. “I’m crazy about the history of Cabaret–Paris in the early 20th century, Berlin in the ’20s, the American Burlesque shows,” Florence says. She also loves vintage pin-up art, rockabilly music, and American popular culture from the 1950s and ’60s. She adds slyly, “I have an incredible collection of retro underclothes…is this really bad?” Nope, not bad at all!

Angie Rae has been featured on numerous websites the past couple of years and is fast developing a loyal fan base. Her natural sex appeal and classic good looks are reminiscent of vintage pin-up queens, like Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mansfield. If only her patients knew about her after-hours pursuits!

“Oh my gosh!!! I can’t believe I won!” exclaimed Jessica when we shared the good news. “Wow, that was the longest month EVER! Seriously, did Frenchy and I break some kind of record?” In fact, they did. The polls were on fire all through September, with more than 5500 votes logged for the month. What’s more, only 0.2% separated Jessica and the fabulous Miss Frenchy when the polls closed. Jessica had a slight edge, and with the collective vote from the Fedora Lounge added in, she took the crown. Says our winner, gleefully, “It was so exciting, neck-and-neck! It’s my first pin-up contest…It was really fun and I’m so happy to get to be your Vector Vixen!” We’re pretty much tickled pink ourselves.

Okay, we admit that we don’t know a whole lot about Aiddee, aside from the fact that her photos are super cute. When not at the downtown L.A. law office where she works as a records clerk, this 28-year-old mom and wife enjoys going to bars and a listening to live bands with her husband. He’d better stick close, ’cause she sure does catch a fella’s eye!
